Ghanaian Actress and Movie Producer, Yvonne Nelson has blasted President Nana Addo for designing fliers showcasing him about commissioning Ghana’s own ambulance.
According to her, the Ambulances should have been distributed ages ago to help save the lives of Ghanaians during critical moments.
She added that the commissioning of the Ambulances ain’t a movie to have its numerous posters and fliers broadcasted.
“How on earth are we designing posters for the commissioning and distribution of OUR ambulances that should have been sent ages ago to help save Ghanaians! Enough of the POSTERS. This aint a MOVIE! Our Health system sucks! We’ve lost our way!”
Nana Addo commissioned and distributed 307 brand new ambulances today.
Sharing photos from a special ceremony, he wrote:
“On Tuesday, 28th January, 2020, I commissioned and presented 307 brand new, state-of-the-art ambulances, fitted with advanced life support equipment and tracking devices, to be distributed to 275 constituencies, i.e. 1-Constituency-1-Ambulance, to be managed by the National Ambulance Service, and the remainder of 32 ambulances to the headquarters of the Service. This is the single largest presentation of ambulances made to the Ghana Ambulance Service, since its establishment in 2004.
As against the scenario whereby 1 ambulance served approximately 524,000 people at the end of December 2016, today, we have a much-improved ratio of 1 ambulance serving approximately 84,000 people.”
