Hi-Life artiste and Zylofon Media signee, Kumi Guitar, unlike Becca, Joyce Blessing and Stonebwoy who have already started moves to ‘run‘ away from Zylofon Media, is throwing his weight behind the music label amidst their difficult times.
The ‘Same God’ hit-maker believes he is an integral part of the record label, for which reason he will stay no matter how worst things turn.
“Oh no, I can’t leave…for me, I always say I’m Zylofon,” he told Winston Amoah on 3FM’s morning show, Sunrise.
“We’re different people, we have different dreams,” he further stressed.
Kumi Guitar known in real life as Nana Yaw Kumi was the first signee of Zylofon Media before other ‘A’ stream artistes were added.
Things started getting worse for the one time lucrative music label when their sister company and financier, MENZGOLD, started having issues with Bank of Ghana and SEC.
As it stands now, MENZGOLD has been totally shut down and they are in a huge debt of tune $200M to over 1M Ghanaians.
He admits times are hard not just for the record label he belongs to but also for everybody.
He is hopeful that all those who have their investments locked up at Menzgold, including himself, will have them.
