Actor John Dumelo feels Ghana should increase ‘her’ presidential term of office from a 4 years to to 5 years.
He said the 4 years is not enough since the politicians waste most of the time doing appointments and campaign in other to settle down.
Hence, in the real sense, they only rule the country for 2 years before the next elections making it inadequate for them to accomplish their goals.
Dumelo is therefore pleading for 5 years of office in order for effectiveness.
“4 years is not enough for ANY President/ Gov to function effectively. The first year is used to settle down in the office and the last year for campaign, leaving only 2 years for effective work. We should consider 5 years per term.”, he wrote.
