Aaron James Judge is an American outfielder who plays for the Major League Baseball New York Yankees. Judge received an unanimous vote for American League Rookie of the Year in 2017, and was in second place for the AL Most Valuable Player Award.

Judge was chosen by the Yankees with number 32 overall choice, in the first round of the 2013 MLB draft while playing collegiate baseball for the Fresno State Bulldogs. Judge had a record-breaking rookie season in 2017 after making his MLB debut in 2016, and also blasting a home run in his first at-bat of the league. Judge was selected as an All-Star, he became the first MLB rookie to win the Home Run Derby, and finished the season with 52 home runs, shattering Mark McGwire’s MLB rookie record of 49 and the Yankees’ all-time rookie record of 29. (Was previously held by Joe DiMaggio). For two years, his rookie mark stood until Pete Alonso hit 53 home runs in 2019. Judge got the AL Rookie of the Month award.
