Meet Alan Rankine, a Scottish musician who passed away recently on January 3, 2023. Alan Rankine was known for his role as a keyboardist and a guitarist in the music band group called “the Associates”.

Alan Rankine who passed away at the age of 64 was born on May 17, 1958, in Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. The Associate group was known to have been co-founded by him and one Billy MacKenzie who happened to be the lead vocalist at the time Alan Rankine was still in the group.

The group produced three albums, the first in the year 1980, the second in the year 1981, and the third in the year 1982.

However, Alan Rankine was known to have retired from the band in 1982 during one of their newly released album tours.

At the time he left the group, Alan Rankine became a producer, as well as a solo artist who produced several solo studio albums with the likes of “The World, Begins to Look Her age, She Loves Me Not, and so on”

Did Alan Rankine Die Of a Drug Overdose?

Alan Rankine did not have any autopsy report of an Overdose of drugs. He was known to have died peacefully at the age of 64.
