Author Albert Woodfox is well-known in the United States for his best-selling book Solitary: Unbroken by Four Decades in Solitary Confinement and My Story of Transformation and Hope.

The American city of New Orleans, Louisiana, is where Albert Woodfox was born on February 20, 1947.

He was also noted for being wanted for the murder of prison guard Brent Miller, age 23. In 1972, Mr. Woodfox was imprisoned in isolation.

The end consequence was an intricate judicial process that included three protracted indictments and two convictions that were ultimately overturned. He was imprisoned for 42 years, though.

Albert Woodfox, 75, died on August 4th, 2022 in Louisiana as a result of COVID-19 problems. After his death, a number of well-known writers, performers, and celebrities paid tribute to him and expressed their condolences to his family and friends.
