Alex Anzalone (born September 22, 1994) is a National Football League (NFL) linebacker for the Detroit Lions. He went to Florida for college football. The New Orleans Saints selected him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
On March 24, 2021, Anzalone signed with the Detroit Lions. He started the 2021 season as a linebacker. He played in the first 14 games before going down with a shoulder injury in Week 15. On December 20, he was placed on injured reserve.
Anzalone re-signed with the Lions in March 2022. Anzalone signed a three-year, $18.75 million contract deal with the Lions on March 13, 2023.
As a rookie, Anzalone earned a starting outside linebacker spot with the Saints, starting all four games. He suffered a shoulder injury in Week 4 against the Dolphins and was placed on injured reserve on October 4, 2017.
