Baker High School, where he started two seasons for the Bees. Bono decided to devote himself entirely to Empire United of the United States Soccer Development Academy in the final years of his high school career.
Bono was considered as the greatest goalkeeper recruit in the state of New York and the 51st-best prospect in his high school graduating class in the years leading up to college.
After signing as a free agent, Bono agreed to a one-year contract with D.C. United on December 14, 2022.
On January 9, 2015, Bono was invited to the United States national team’s training camp. He was called up again in March 2018.
