Alexander Jefferson was born on November 15, 1921, in Detroit, Michigan.

He is known as one of the Tuskegee Airmen who served in the United States Army Air Force during the World war ll.

He was the first child of Alexander Jefferson, his father and Jane White, his mother who are both deceased.

He was the only African-American to graduate from Chadsey High School in 1938 after enrolling in college prep courses. In 1942, Clark College in Atlanta awarded Jefferson his B.A.
Before being shot down and taken prisoner on August 12, 1944, Jefferson completed eighteen sorties. He was imprisoned at Stalag Luft III for eight months until being released on April 29, 1945.

In 1995, he was inducted into the Michigan aviation hall of fame.

Lieutenant colonel Alexander Jefferson was not known to be suffering from any illness. Though his cause of death is unknown, however it’s believed that he died of natural cause on June 22, 2022 at the age of 100.
