Amanda Schmitt Grazioli was a beautiful woman who loved animals and used to conduct fundraising activities for local shelters.

Amanda was just enjoying her marriage to John of five months and suddenly he killed her in her sleep on 8 March 2018.

Amanda Schmitt Grazioli was murdered by the love of her life, her husband John Grazioli. John initially wanted to divorce her which he had discussed with some of his family members.

But at the same time, he was planning a vacation in the summer with her and her family. He was a financial manager in Pennsylvania.

In the March of 2018, John shot her to death while she was sleeping in her bed. He was charged by the police with first-degree murder and possession of firearms without a license.

After killing her, he went to the Public House on West 26 Street. He casually had his lunch, had a beer, and read a newspaper as nothing had happened.

He then went on to attend Mass at St. Jude the Apostle Church, where his children went to school.

Moreover, he visited Saint Peter’s Cathedral to confess to a priest, Reverend Michael Polinek, that he had killed his wife. Rev. then made a call to the police.

Where Is John Grazioli Now, Is He In Jail?

John Grazioli is serving his sentence at the State Correctional Institution at Rockview, Pennsylvania.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole by Erie County Judge Daniel Brabender in April 2019.

His ex-wife Erica Grazioli testified during his trial and he admitted to killing his wife but claimed it was an accident and under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Judge Brabender gave him one more chance to uncover his motive behind shooting his wife. But he turned down and thus resulting in incarceration.

What Happened To Amanda Schmitt Grazioli Children?

Amanda Schmitt Grazioli had two stepchildren from her husband John Grazioli and her ex-wife Erica Grazioli. Apparently did not have any kids of her own.

However, John was undergoing a custody trial at the time with his ex-wife after their divorce in 2016.

After Amanda’s murder and John’s incarceration, the custodial rights were dissolved and Erica got sole custody of her children. It was ordered by Erie County Judge John J Mead.
