Following Labor’s election victory in 2007, Albanese was named Leader of the House. He also studied economics at the University of Sydney and joined the Labor Party as a student.

In the 1996 election, he won the Grayndler Division in New South Wales and was elected to the House of Representatives.

Anthony Albanese is a believer in Christianity. Anthony identifies as half-Italian and half-Irish, as well as a non-practising Catholic.
