Richardson faced a difficult situation when attempting to cross the goal line in Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The rookie quarterback was visibly upset and clearly in pain, but he was able to escape the field without assistance.

Gardner Minshew was named Richardson’s replacement. It’s worth noting that Richardson did not seek examination in the blue tent, presumably because the game was about to end. Unfortunately, he did not return to the game.

Anthony Dashawn Richardson is a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Indianapolis Colts. He went to Florida for college football.

Richardson grew up in Mayport, Florida, and graduated from Eastside High School. According to 247Sports.com, he was a four-star prospect and the No. 4 dual-threat quarterback in the country. He chose Florida over offers from Alabama, Georgia, and LSU to play collegiate football.

In 2020, Richardson redshirted his freshman year at Florida. In 2021, he began his starting career and led the Gators to a 7-5 record. That season, he passed for 3,563 yards and 27 touchdowns. He was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
