Anthony Sowell was convicted guilty of murdering 11 women in 2011 after their bodies were discovered in his Cleveland, Ohio, home in 2009.
Anthony Sowell enlisted in the US Marine Corps on January 24, 1978, when he was 18 years old.
Sowell received recruit training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in South Carolina before finishing his electrician training at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
On July 13, 1978, Sowell enlisted in the Marine Corps and reported to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, also in North Carolina.
In 1980, Sowell once embarked on an overseas mission with the 3rd Force Service Support Group and returned to Cherry Point.
