She later told Elle magazine, “I had to persuade him that I was slightly more responsible and well-spoken and had other things to bring to the table aside from being 18.”
Initially engaged in November 2006, the couple called off their nuptials in February 2009. But by 2010, things were back on, and in June of that year, they got married at the Four Seasons on Hawaii’s Big Island.
