The two drove two hours north to Williamson County, Tennessee, after escaping from a county jail in Florence, Alabama. Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton remarked during a press conference on Friday.
According to the sheriff, the two had known each other since at least 2020 and had developed a romantic bond. Vicky White had publicized her retirement intentions and sold her property for a fraction of its market value before they vanished.
