An argument erupted on Twitter where fast-rising musician, Gyakie was compared to veteran singer Efya.
It all started when one Twitter user tweeted that “Gyakie is better than Efya but Ghanaians aren’t ready for this conversation.“
Well, following this back and forth argument, Gyakie has reacted via Twitter saying that Efya is a senior in the music industry, hence, she as the upcoming songstress should not be compared to her.
Gyakie remarked that Efya was the person that paved way for some of them.
“Artists like Efya and all the ones before me paved the way for some of us to be where we are.” she wrote.
Further more, the ‘Forever’ hitmaker called on her fans to invest their enery in a positive way instead of the needless comparisons.
“The National Agenda should be the focus. Let’s try as much as possible to make love and positive energy lead us. Enjoy good music and support Ghana“, she added.
After a few hours, she came back again and tweeted that comparison is a thief of joy and progress.
