Asia Argento, an Italian actress and filmmaker was born on 20 September 1975, her birth and full name is Aria Maria Vittoria Rossa Argento .

Asia Argento started her acting skill at the age of nine years old, when she was given a small role in a Sergio Citti movie. She appeared in her father’s film Trauma when she was 16 years old (1993). Asia won the David di Donatello Italy’s equivalent of the Academy Award, for Best Actress in 1994 for her work in Perdiamoci di vista and again in 1996 for Compagna di viaggio, for which she also won a Grolla d’oro. Following that, Argento started to appear in English-language films like B. Monkey and New Rose Hotel (both 1998). Asia also had roles in French, starting with Charlotte de Sauve in La Reine Margot (1994).

Asia made her debut as a director around the same time with the short films Prospettive and A ritroso (both in 1994), as well as a documentary about her father (in 1996) and Abel Ferrara (in 1998), also Scarlet Diva in (2000), in which Her father co-produced.
