The 27-year-old “No Love” singer took to social media on Friday (July 10) when Pinkett Smith revealed their previous relationship on her Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk. Alsina tweeted, “Imagine not knowing how to manage the business that pays you.”
According to an Instagram statement he shared from a hospital bed, R&B musician August Alsina was hospitalized after temporarily losing his ability to walk. August was unable to attend the Essence Festival in New Orleans this weekend due to his illness. “Hello people,” he adds in the post, sounding surprisingly upbeat. “As you can undoubtedly guess, I’m in the hospital.” So, here’s the stitch. I awoke one day unable to walk. I couldn’t feel my legs, so my doctor admitted me to the hospital. “We’re running a series of tests, and they’re saying I have some nerve damage going on throughout my body,” he continues. “It’s as though my immune system took a break.” So I’m just waiting for it to return so we can get together and let it do its thing, man.” In the caption, he apologizes for having to cancel his appearance at the Essence Festival. “I’m a man down right now, and I thought I should share… that my auto-immune sickness is raging, but I’m fighting it and on a mission to shake it off and make it up to you!” I’ve got a lot of NEW NEW to share with you!” August appears singing in two consecutive posts. August has also previously stated that he has an undisclosed inherited autoimmune condition that damages the liver.
