Brandon Smith better B. Smyth which is his stage name, was a well-recognized young American hip hop and R&B recording artist and dancer who is known to have hailed from Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he was born.

Smith rose to prominence through cover videos he made for popular songs including Say by Rihanna. Some of Smith’s videos which he posted on YouTube got as many as 500 thousand views on YouTube alone. This gained him popularity and he started performing at talent shows among others. Smith’s success at talent shows later got him a record deal with Motown Records in the year 2012. Smith then released his debut single titled “Leggo” featuring 2 Chainz, on December 11, 2012.

Smith then released his debut EP titled The Florida Files EP, on October 15, 2013. The EP featured his second single titled “Win Win” which he featured Future. Smith later switched record labels from Motown to ByStorm Entertainment and RCA Records.

It is sad to know that the youngster has passed away. Smith died from respiratory failure on November 17, 2022. He died at age 28.
