He has three premierships to his name with Richmond, and during the team’s 2019 championship campaign, he was chosen as an All-Australian half-back.
Bachar Houli was chosen by the Essendon Football Club with the club’s fifth pick and the 42nd overall pick in the 2006 AFL national draft. He made his Essendon debut in an exhibition match against the Indigenous All-Stars in Darwin at the beginning of February 2007.
Richmond made Bachar Houli the third overall pick and the first pick of the team in the preseason draft. He immediately earned his spot in the AFL and marked his club debut against Carlton in the opening round of the season.
