Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has resigned from his Role.

Barcelona president and his board of directors were facing Vote of no confidence after the club’s biggest assert Lionel Messi threatened to quit the club.

Catalan Publication SPORT released the news today after an emergency meeting where Bartomeu finally bowled to pressure and decided to step down as the club’s president. It is official now as the Club shared on their social media pages to confirm the news

After their embarrassing 8-2 demolition in the hands of German champions FC Bayern Munich, a lot of issues came up which even led to sacking of their coach. Sacking the coach didn’t come as a surprise but the manner in which he was sacked just shows how the club is poorly run. The Ex Barcelona coach claims the club did not officially communicated to him about his sack instead he saw it on social media that he has been fired.

As if things were settled, they sold their best striker Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid, a decision that angered the club all time top scorer to lead a campaign against the Clubs Board by Sending them a fax requesting to be released by the club.

It was at this point that their supporters started a petition to get rid of the President and its board of directors by signing vote of no confidence. Now that Bartomeu has resigned, it just show once again Messi’s influence in every aspect of the Club.
