Question
Praise be to Allah.
I advice my brother pilgrims and others to beware of this
carelessness and to keep away from causes of danger as much as possible,
because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another).
Surely, Allaah is Most Merciful to you”
[al-Nisa’ 4:29]
“and do not throw yourselves into destruction”
[al-Baqarah 2:195]
And the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever kills himself
with something will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection.”
And there are many similar verses and hadeeths.
May Allaah help us all to do that which pleases Him and bless
us and all the Muslims with understanding of His religion and make us
steadfast in adhering to it.
