He is known for competing on the PGA Tour. Haas who had a successful college career, was a three-time first-team All-American, a four-time All-ACC selection, a two-time ACC Player of the Year, and the 2001 ACC Rookie of the Year.
Bill Haas also won twelve collegiate events throughout his time in school, and in his senior year of 2004, he took home the Haskins Award, Jack Nicklaus Award, and Ben Hogan Award.
However, he established a low-scoring average NCAA record. Haas played on two Palmer Cup teams and the Walker Cup team in 2003. In 2004, he became a professional.
