He performs lead vocals for Green Day’s side projects Foxboro Hot Tubs, The Network, The Longshot, and The Coverups in addition to being the guitarist and singer for the punk rock group Pinhead Gunpowder.
One of the best punk rock guitarists of all time, according to critics, is Armstrong.
Early on, Armstrong became interested in music, and at the age of five, he recorded his first song.
He first connected with Dirnt while they were both in primary school, and when they were both 14 years old, they started the band Sweet Children out of their shared love of music.
Later, the group adopted the moniker Green Day. Armstrong has also undertaken musical endeavours, working with different artists on various occasions.
He established Adeline Records in 1997 to support other bands and sign musicians like The Frustrators, AFI, and Dillinger Four. This was timed to coincide with the release of Nimrod.
