According to reports, Haider Tawakali is a project manager at Black Rock. His antisemitic comments drew harsh backlash on social media. Once word of the incident spread on social media, he was widely criticized.

Several social media reacted to the video and expressed their anger. He faced severe backlash for his actions and antisemitic remarks. Several X users slammed him on the platform.

One X user wrote, “Well dressed! I don’t think he saw infamy and unemployment in his future. Either their hate is overpowering or they don’t know what’s been going on, probably both.”

“Those pictures are like crosses to the devil… I don’t understand any other reason why they have so much hate about them…” another user wrote.

There has been a noticeable increase in anti-Semitic incidents and actions of hate towards Jews in the US and around the world after the October 7 tragedy and the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reports that anti-Semitic occurrences in the US spiked by almost 400% in the first two weeks after the Middle East crisis began, which was triggered by a Hamas attack on Israel.

Online anti-Semitic incidents, demonstrators yelling Hamas slogans, and swastika vandalism at synagogues have all been reported. There has been a noticeable increase in antisemitic incidents across the US since October 7, when Hamas launched its surprise attack on Israel and ignited the Gaza War.
