Cecil switched to center his senior year, blocking for two FBS-bound quarterbacks and leading the team to an 11-4 record and a position in the Florida Class 7A state championship game.
He finished his career with 50 starts and 53 games played, tying him for second place all-time at USF.
He was signed as a free agent by the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.
In 2023, Cecil received the USF Muma College of Business 25 Under 25 Award.
