Saturday’s LaLiga match between Cadiz and Barcelona was delayed for more than 50 minutes due to a heart attack among spectators.
Barca took a 2-0 advantage in the 82nd minute of the game at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla in Cadiz.
The fan was successfully revived before being transferred to the hospital, according to a statement from Cádiz.
The statement stated that “a defibrillator was rushed to the stands to attempt resuscitation.” Barcelona also provided a backup defibrillator in case it became necessary. The athletes themselves brought this defibrillator to the stands.
