She had six embryos that was left from her previous IVF treatments. However, she requested that the embryos should be transferred into her uterus all at once. Typically, a lady her age would receive not more than three embryo transfers.
Nadya Suleman, stated that one of the reasons she tried for a sixth pregnancy was to prevent the destruction of the stored embryos.
Despite the fact that Dr. Kamrava had frozen embryos available, fresh rounds were always performed. In June 2011, Kamrava was found to have transferred twelve embryos, which the California Medical Board found to be an “extreme” departure from standard of care. The Medical Board of California voted to revoke Kamrava’s medical license, effective in July 1, 2011.
