The NBA’s power forward and American Carlos Boozer was born in Germany on November 20, 1981. The two-time NBA All-Star played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and Utah Jazz before spending his final season in China with the Guangdong Southern Tigers.
He began his professional career with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2002. Later, when playing for the Utah Jazz, he was chosen for the 2007 and 2008 All-Star games. In 2010, he was dealt to the Chicago Bulls. In 2014, he was sent to the Los Angeles Lakers, then in 2016, he was dealt to the Guangdong Tigers.
Boozer announced his intention to forego his last year of collegiate eligibility and join the NBA draft in April 2002. Boozer was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the 35th overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft. Boozer averaged 10.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game during his first season. He raised those totals to 15.5 points and 11.4 rebounds per game the following season.

At Juneau-Douglas High School, Boozer finished his high school education. Boozer, a two-time member of the PARADE All-American team and a high school basketball player, led the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears to back-to-back state championships. Boozer went to Duke University to study. Boozer contributed to the 2001 NCAA championship team from Duke University.
