The year’s Palme d’Or winner was one of Charlbi Dean’s most recent roles as a 32-year-old South African actress. As reported by Variety, the actress passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 29, in New York.
Alex Jacobs Kriek, Charlbi Dean’s brother, officially refuted the notion that his sister had died from the COVID-19 vaccine on August 31, 2022.

He revealed that Charlbi Dean died as a result of a lung infection, which may have been exacerbated by the loss of her spleen in a previous event.

In accordance with Jacobs, Charlbi had some “minor” symptoms that worried her so much that she requested that her fiance, Luke Chase Volker, take her to the hospital’s emergency room. After that, she passed away the same day in a matter of hours.
