At the University of California, Los Angeles, Gasper played NCAA soccer for the Bruins after graduating from Gonzaga High School. Gasper was chosen for the All-Freshman Second Team as a freshman, and he also assisted UCLA in taking the Pac-12 Conference title.
Due to groin pain as a junior, he only participated in 3 games. The NCAA granted Gasper a medical redshirt. In 2017, Gasper moved to the University of Maryland after finding out his dad had small-fiber neuropathy. He took part in all six of Maryland’s College Cup games, which contributed to the Terrapins’ 2018 championship.
Gasper participated in the 2015 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup with PSA Elite while still a college student. On April 16, 2023, the Houston Dynamo claimed Gasper off waivers. Gasper made his senior debut for the US national team on February 1, 2020, as a substitute in a 1-0 friendly victory against Costa Rica.
