Christopher Bishop, is a politician, who was born on September 4, 1983, he is known to be the New Zealand National Party representative, and was first elected to the New Zealand House of Representatives in 2014 as a list MP, In 2017.

Bishop gained the Hutt South electorate, but in 2020, he lost the seat. He was the national spokesperson for housing and infrastructure when he returned to the legislature, and he is currently the shadow leader of the house.

Christopher Bishop, ran for office in the Hutt South electorate in 2014 and finished second to Labour incumbent Trevor Mallard, however he was elected as a list MP to serve the 2014–2017 term.

Prior to the election, electorate borders were redistributed, and Hutt South lost the National-leaning western hill suburb of Naenae for the Labour-leaning suburb of Hutt South. This helped Bishop reduce Mallard’s margin from 4,825 to 709.

Bishop had a part in the Finance and Expenditure, Justice and Electoral, and Regulations Review select committees. He also participated in a bipartisan committee that Jan Logie started, so as to study and promote LGBTI rights.
