After her family moved to Montclair, New Jersey, Ricci attended Edgemont Elementary School, Glenfield Middle School, Montclair High School, and Morristown-Beard School as a child. Her siblings are Rafael, born in 1971, Dante, born in 1974, and Pia, born in 1976.
Ricci’s parents separated when she was a teenager. She has openly discussed her upbringing in interviews, particularly the divorce of her parents and her turbulent relationship with her father.
