Chrystia Alexandra Freeland is a politician, journalist and author from Canada. She is currently serving as Canada’s tenth deputy prime minister and has held office since 2019.
Freeland is also the Financial Minister of Canada also from 2020. She holds the offices of minister of intergovernmental affairs, minister of foreign affairs and minister of international trade making her the first Canadian woman to hold all the three financial portfolios.
As an author, she has books like Sale of the Century and Plutocrats: The Rise of the New Global Super-Rich and the Fall of Everyone Else.
Freeland is married to Graham Bowley, a British journalist who writes and reports for The New York Times.
