Conrad Nicholson Hilton Sr. was born on December 25, 1887. Conrad was a well-known American businessman and founder of the Hilton Hotels chain. From the year 1912 to the year 1916, Conrad was a Republican representative in the first New Mexico Legislature, but later became disillusioned with the “inside deals” of politics.

When Conrad was a young boy, he developed entrepreneurial skills when he was working at his father’s general store in Socorro County, New Mexico. The store was partially converted into a 10-room hotel. Conrad as well gathered varied experiences, including a stint as a representative in New Mexico’s first State Legislature and a career decision to become a banker among others.

Conrad Nicholson Hilton’s cause of death

In 1925, Hilton got married to Mary Adelaide Barron. The couple had three children namely Conrad Hilton Jr., Barron Hilton, and Eric Hilton. However, the pair divorced in 1934.

Conrad Hilton died at the age of 42 from a sudden heart attack due to alcoholism on February 5, 1969.
