Craig Breen, an Irish rally driver who competed in the World Rally Championship (WRC) for the Hyundai squad, competed in his final WRC event on April 13, 2023, and he lived from February 2, 1990, to April 13, 2023. In addition to class triumphs in the Monte Carlo Rally, Wales Rally GB, Rally France, and Rally of Spain, he won the Super 2000 WRC in 2012.

2011 saw Breen win the WRC Academy Cup after taking first place in the Rallye Deutschland and securing the title with a win at the Wales Rally GB.

With Breen and Estonian rally driver Egon Kaur completing the season with 111 points each, the Academy championship came down to the last stage.

The title was then won by Breen, 39 to 14, on stage victories. Ray Breen, an Irish national champion in rallying, was the father of Craig. He started karting in Ireland in 1999. He started rallying in 2007 and matched it with commitments to race karts across Europe in 2008.
