Craig Farrell born on December 5, 1982, and died on May 30, 2022, was an English professional footballer who played as a forward in the English league. He played for Carlisle United.

He grew up in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire where he attended Beechwood’s first school as a child. He played for England’s national under 16 teams at the 1999 UEFA under 16 championships.

His tremendous participation and talent helped the team secure a 3-1 victory over Slovakia. He was the captain of the England under 16 side three times.

Farrell played for local teams Cleveland Juniors and Marton Boys, before joining the youth system of hometown club Middlesbrough, who he supported as a boy, at the age of eight.

He was offered a trial at Leeds United at 15 and was offered a four-year contract at the club after scoring five goals in two matches. He signed many contracts throughout his career as a footballer.

On 16 November 2012, Farrell joined Blyth’s divisional rivals Whitby Town, making his debut in a 3–1 defeat at the Turnbull Ground, against Ashton United. He retired in February 2015 due to a serious hip injury.
