He was born on June 3, 1995, and was the 2013 Gatorade National Player of the Year for El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, California.
He went on to play NCAA football for the Washington Huskies, and was selected by the Sounders in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft and has since evolved into a regular starter for the team, appearing in over 250 games as of 2022.
Roldan was given the 2013 Gatorade National Player of the Year in soccer, while attending El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, California.
He turned down overtures to join the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA’s development squads, instead leading the El Rancho Dons to an unbeaten season with 26 wins.
