Dale Carnegie was a popular author, and educator who was born on November 24, 1888, in New York City. In 1912, Dale Carnagey was successful in securing permission from the management of a YMCA hostel to teach a course on public speaking.

In exchange for eighty percent of his lifetime earnings, Dale Carnegie was given a schoolroom. During the first session that Carnagey taught, he ran out of material and suggested that the students talk about “something that made them angry” when they reached that point.

Carnagey found that his students gained the confidence to speak in front of an audience as a direct result of using the method. Dale Carnegie quickly established popularity as a teacher by capitalizing on the desire of Americans to have higher levels of self-assurance.

In Forest Hills, New York, on November 1, 1955, Dale Carnegie passed away at the age of 66 from Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which was exacerbated by uremia. The cause of death was Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
