On Sunday night in North California Monroe, police officers got a call from a home on Monroe Avenue between South Church and Maurice streets at 10 pm.
The cops stated that upon reaching the scene a 25year old with a 4month old baby was seen dead. The family of the two confirmed they were father and son.
The father is Darion McClendon and the son is Da’mari McClendon.
The two died as a result of a shooting that occurred in Monroe on Sunday night.
The following day, Monday the police could still see bullet holes inside a house and a car at the scene of the shooting.
The police authorities are investigating the cause and culprits responsible for the shooting.
There have been no arrests made yet. Bryan Gillard, police chief compelled anyone with knowledge of the shooting to report to the authorities. A cash reward of $5,000 will be issued to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the culprits.
Gilliard also stated: “This is a very difficult time for our community and our officers in the face of this senseless act of violence. We are committed to bringing the perpetrator of this crime to justice.”
