The surcharge shall be in impact till mid-July, until the division’s director repeals it sooner.

Rideshare providers, together with Uber and Lyft, which boosted their costs in current days to counteract the rising price of gasoline nationwide.

Lyft added a gas surcharge of 55 cents to every journey. Uber’s non permanent surcharge shall be both 45 cents or 55 cents for every Uber journey and both 35 cents or 45 cents for every Uber Eats order, relying on location.

Gas prices, according to AAA, now common $4.28 a gallon for normal throughout the U.S., as of Thursday.

The typical in D.C. is $4.39 a gallon. In Maryland, the common is $4.20 a gallon. In Virginia, it’s $4.16 a gallon.
