He was the first Israeli selected by an MLB team in 2015. Jewish Kremer was raised in Stockton, California. In Israel, he celebrated his bar mitzvah.
Lincoln High School in Stockton, California, is where Kremer received his diploma in 2013. During his two baseball seasons there, he pitched and played right field, twice being named to the Second Team All-League. The first time he spent a significant amount of time on the mound, as a senior, he was 6-2 with a 2.35 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 41.2 innings.
In 2013–14, Kremer spent his first year of college at San Joaquin Delta College while majoring in finance and playing baseball full-time. That year, he was a player for the Mustangs.
In July 2022, Kremer promised to play for Team Israel in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. He shared the field alongside Joc Pederson, Richard Bleier, and other All-Stars in addition to playing for Team Israel’s manager and former All-Star Ian Kinsler.
