In 1985, the South African gospel singer began her career as a backup singer.

 

 

Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Lucky Dube, Brenda Fassie, Hugh Masekela, and Jonas Gwangwa all used her as a background vocalist.

Fraser released her first album in 2000, titled Abanye bayombona.

 

More than a million copies of the record have been sold.

 

She got signed by Universal Music as a result of the success of her first album.

Uhambo is her ninth studio album, and it includes the single “Ngeke ngiyeke ukuthandaza.”

In the Best Female Artist category, the gospel singer took up the first SABC Crown Gospel Music award.

 

Fraser has received multiple honors for his contributions in the entertainment business, including the SAMA for best gospel, the Metro award for best gospel, and the Kora for best gospel artist.

 

Unfortunately, Deborah Fraser died on May 15, 2022, at the age of 56.

 

After suffering a stroke, the gospel singer died at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital.
