Demetrius Haley, a towering 6 feet, 1-inch man, lives in Cordova, Tennessee. According to the Conan Daily, Demetrius Haley and fellow Shelby County Division of Corrections officer David Dyson beat prisoner Cordarlrius Sledge at the penitentiary farm on May 16, 2015, under the supervision of Danny McClain, until Sledge passed out.
In a complaint filed in 2016, Demetrius Haley was charged with participating in the beating of an inmate nearly eight years earlier. Two corrections officers attacked Cordarlrius Sledge in 2015 while he was serving a three-year sentence for aggravated assault.
The sledge was found to be using a smartphone, which was against the law. Demetrius Haley was most recently charged with beating Nichols Tyler, who died three days after the attack.
