Even today, people are fascinated and intrigued by the English occultist, author, and ceremonial magician Aleister Crowley. Crowley has been the focus of countless books, articles, and movies throughout the years due to his contentious and unusual views and activities.

This question has a rather difficult answer. Over the course of his life, Crowley was married three times, but he never had children with any of them. Crowley may have fathered children outside of marriage in a number of situations, though.

One of the most well-known of these incidents involves Leah Hirsig, a lady who was one of Crowley’s closest partners and associates. Hirsig, a member of Crowley’s magical association, the A.A., was also his longtime partner. Some sources claim that Hirsig conceived Crowley’s child in 1910, but she was unable to carry it to term and experienced a miscarriage.

A few other reports of women who might have had children with Crowley also exist, albeit they are less reliable and more conjectural. One of these stories relates to Gerda Lerner, a woman who studied with Crowley in the 1940s. There isn’t much proof to back up Lerner’s allegation that she had a son with Crowley.

A woman named Patricia MacAlpine, who was born in 1929 and claimed to be Crowley’s daughter, is another potential descendant of Crowley. Betty May, who was in the 1920s Crowley’s acquaintance and lover, was the mother of MacAlpine. Although there is some evidence to back up the theory that Crowley was MacAlpine’s father, this has never been confirmed beyond a reasonable doubt.

Although there is no hard proof, many people are nevertheless interested in the matter of whether Crowley had children. Whether or not Crowley had children, his reputation as a divisive and significant figure in the occult and spiritual communities is unquestionably cemented.
