On December 19, 1977, Brett Veach, a general manager for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League, was born. (NFL). Veach is a University of Delaware graduate. Much of his personal details have not been discovered as he has kept it out of the media’s eyes.

Prior to becoming general manager, he was a co-director of player personnel with the Chiefs. He began serving as an assistant for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004. He eventually ascended the ranks and was appointed a scout.

When Andy Reid decided to join the Kansas City Chiefs, Veach was brought on as a pro and collegiate personnel analyst. In 2015, Veach was elevated to co-director of player personnel.

Reid asserted that Veach had been “pushing” Texas Tech’s freshman collegiate quarterback Patrick Mahomes at that same moment. Even though Mahomes wouldn’t be available for the NFL Draft for a few more years, Reid recalls Veach emailing him a game tape and describing Mahomes as “the finest he’d ever seen.”

Veach played running back, wide receiver, and return specialist with the Fightin’ Blue Hens from 1998 through 2001 even though he didn’t play professionally in the NFL.
