David was born in Atlanta, US, and raised in Lagos; he made his music debut as a member of the music group KB International. He is known to be one of the best nationwide so far.

His interest in music began while attending Oakwood University in his late teens, and he started making his own beats and investigating music production. He dropped out of school and began pursuing music full-time, relocating to Lagos, Nigeria, and releasing his debut single, “Back When,” in 2011.

Due to his various accolades, Davido made Classified’s list of the top 10 musicians in Nigeria in 2021. With 29 awards overall, Davido is the fourth-best musician in Nigeria.

“Dami Duro,” Davido’s second hit, is what made him famous. His debut album, “Omo Baba Olowo,” with the song “Dami Duro,” was published in 2012.
