For 67 years, he was the announcer who represented the Los Angeles Dodgers on radio and television broadcasts around the country. He started working for the corporation in the 1950s when its headquarters were still located in Brooklyn. In 2016, he made his last departure from the organization, and he has not been seen there since then.
Vin Scully, or Vin as he was most often known, died on August 2, 2022. His age was 94 at the time. He was interred at Hidden Hills, California, where he had resided for the whole of his life. Many believe Scully’s stint as a Dodger announcer to be among the longest of any sportscaster.
