Caillou is a 4-year-old boy who is the main character and protagonist of the TV series and books of the same name. He is portrayed as a curious, adventurous young child who enjoys exploring his surroundings and is meant to be a representation of a real preschooler. Caillou has been voiced by Bryn McAuley (1997-1998), Jaclyn Linetsky (2000-2003), and, due to Jaclyn’s death: Farewell Jaclyn Michelle Linetsky, Annie Bovaird (2003-2010); he is currently voiced by Logan Nicholson in the WildBrain reboot. He can also be found in all of the Caillou books.

Caillou is shown to be a caring, adventurous, and helpful character. 4-year-old imaginative child Overall, he is constantly inquisitive about the world around him and is always up for a new adventure. In earlier episodes (such as Caillou’s Cross Word and Caillou Joins the Circus), the character misbehaves or becomes upset when things do not go his way; however, by season 4, an older Caillou’s personality had been redesigned to be less negative in behavior; this is addressed by the color of his shirt, which changes from grey in earlier seasons to yellow in later episodes.
