Paul DelVecchio, popularly known as DJ Pauly D, is an American DJ, television personality, and musician. He was born on July 5, 1980 in Johnston, Rhode Island. DelVecchio became famous as a cast member on the MTV reality series Jersey Shore, which premiered in 2009 and ran for six seasons. The show featured the lives of eight roommates who spent their summer together in a beach house in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. After the success of Jersey Shore, DelVecchio launched a successful career as a DJ, performing at clubs and events around the country and internationally. He also released his debut single “Beat” in 2011.
DelVecchio has appeared on other reality shows such as The Pauly D Project, Famously Single, and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. He also has been a judge on America’s Best Dance Crew and hosted the MTV series, Double Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny.
